Wait Until Dark by Frederick Knott, was first performed on Broadway in 1966. A popular film adaptation followed in 1967, starring Audrey Hepburn. The popular thriller revolves around Susy Hendrix, a recently blinded woman. She is terrorized in her Greenwich Village apartment by a group of thugs searching for a drug-filled doll, unknowingly delivered by her husband. A sinister con man, Roat, and two ex-convicts, Mike and Carlino, are about to meet their match. They have traced the location of the mysterious doll and are determined to get it back, not matter what.
