Creating a Culture of Care at 黑暗爆料APP

黑暗爆料APP partnered with the  to transform 黑暗爆料APP into a Caring Campus. This initiative is based on research that shows, 鈥渟tudents who feel more connected to their college are more likely to be retained, persist from semester to semester, and complete their academic goals.鈥�

In 2023, select 黑暗爆料APP Classified Professionals attended IEBC-led coaching sessions to develop and implement plans intended to foster a culture of caring on our campuses. Five behavioral commitments were created then implemented beginning Fall 2023. These have come to be known as our five Positive Practices.

Our Positive Practices are a promise to use specific actions, language, or visual cues to help our students feel welcome and cared for. Please join us in implementing these Postivie Practices and making 黑暗爆料APP a more Caring Campus.

黑暗爆料APP Caring Campus Positive Practices

Practice 1: Name Badges

Wearing name badges helps to identify employees and makes finding help easier.

Practice 2: Ten Foot Rule

Acknowledging and interacting with our students on campus or making ourselves available to assist students.

Practice 3: Warm Referrals

Taking time to transfer students to appropriate services either by personal escort or providing clear information and materials to help them navigate campus.

Practice 4: Cross-Dept. Awareness

Educating and informing staff of new or updated departments and responsibilities to help direct students to the appropriate services.

Practice 5: First Week Greetings

Create a first impression where students feel welcomed to campus, cared for, and respected.

黑暗爆料APP Caring Campus advocates to create a student-centered environment where positive, intentional, campus-wide behaviors influence student engagement, connectedness, and academic success.

We want our students to know they are cared for, they are supported, and they belong.
